I'm not an avid audiobook listener. When I listen, it's usually non-fiction (my kids are usually in the car with me, and the romance books I like aren't family-friendly, lol). So, what's a gothic romance novel? I've been asked this question a few times since announcing I was working on one. People assume they're a horror or scary or . . . Idk *insert assumption here*. The feel of the atmosphere is important in gothic novels. So, fog, darkness, etc. Old houses. Old haunted houses. Those are only some of the things that can be included in a gothic novel.
